 Gayatri was in her sixties finding difficult to walk. Her husband had expired 6 years before after which her health also deteriorated. She was living with her only Son Abhishek and his wife Srushti. Gayatri was married when she was 25 years of age. She had a decent job, and her husband was a government servant. Life was very comfortable. Gayatri was quite a good looking at her young age.Infact she was the only female who had started using scooty first time in her colony. Everyone used to admire her for her beauty and also for her modern way of living.She used to always wear a red rose in her long black hair which added charm to her beauty.She delivered a baby boy and life was going smoothly. Her son Abhishek completed his education and got a job in MNC.Now Gayatri also decided to leave her job and spend her rest of life spending time with her husband. It was time to find a nice girl for Abhishek. She informed few of the relatives to find a suitable girl for him. When Abhishek got to know he immediately told his mother that he is in love with one girl from his office. He knew Srushti since 2 years and have decided to marry her. Gayatri and her husband did not object since Abhishek was the only child and they just wanted to see him happy. Though the girl belonged to different caste they agreed and both of them got married.

One day Gayatri woke up as usual, had her bathe and did Pooja. She made tea for her husband. She was surprised that still her husband has not woken since he was always an early riser and used to wake up before the tea was ready. She went to call him and found him lying on the floor near bed. She screamed and called her son. Immediately he was taken to hospital, but he had died by the time they reached there. This was a shock to Gayatri. She lost interest in everything. Months passed. Abhishek and Srusti was also busy in their own life which made Gayatri left alone in the house. There was no one to talk to her and she became aloof. One day while Abhishek and Srushti were at home, and they were having lunch together. It was a normal day. As soon as Gayatri finished her lunch and got up suddenly, she felt as if her body had become stiff. She fell on the floor. Abhishek rushed her to hospital. Gayatri had got paralytic attack and her right hand and legs had become paralysed.Gayatri only wished for her death now since nothing was left in her life now.
